DIPITA SEHGAL
She is a Delhi University graduate (2018) and former theater practitioner, began her filmmaking journey as a second camera operator for the indie web series Paradoxical (2019) with GATH Productions. She has since contributed to over 50 digital advertisements and numerous impactful non-fiction projects as an assistant, operator, and cinematographer.
Her recent works include serving as DOP for the short film Maeeri (2025) with Tea Cofy Productions and Associate DOP for documentaries for the International Solar Alliance, showcased at the COP29 Climate Summit in Baku. She has also collaborated with Kahaniwalas and SELCO Foundation on documentary films in post-production, assisted on Last of Millennials by Shelly Sharma, and operated for an Apollo Tyres project under DOP Mahadev Thakur.
Dipita is a 2024 mentee in the Indian Society of Cinematographers (ISC) Mentorship Program under Preetha Jayaraman and an observer at DocEdge Kolkata 2025. Passionate about telling relatable and impactful stories, she seeks to bridge the gap between the seen and overlooked, bringing untold narratives to life through her films.
